Berti Green Accelerator: Final 25 Businesses Selected for ecoConnect Finalists Selection Event

 

Applications are closed and Berti is one step closer to selecting three outstanding low carbon businesses to help grow and develop by providing intelligent capital, combining bespoke business support, through James Caan’s Hamilton Bradshaw Impact Partners (HBIP), and access to up to £1M funding. In February 2012 Berti put out the call to Britain’s entrepreneurial green community and we have been greeted by an overwhelming response.

We have received a great variety of applications from the cleantech sector, illustrating the diversity of entrepreneurial activity here in the UK; from solar installers to electric car companies, waste management enterprises to online networking providers. We have been truly impressed both by the calibre of companies that have applied, and by the level of interest. The sheer volume of applications for the Berti Green Accelerator is a real indication of the flourishing entrepreneurial green community proliferating in the UK.

We have now selected our long-list of 25 businesses. Next up? The ecoConnect Finalist Selection event on 16 May 2012 in partnership with ecoConnect and Grant Thornton. In this practical, highly interactive workshop, entrepreneurs will learn the essential skills needed to impress potential investors and help them to stand out from the crowd. From this one-day event, we will find the final 6 companies that will go before the Berti judges in June. The final 3 companies will be announced on 11 June 2012.
